Portable Infrared Thermal Imager Sign
Our Portable Infrared Thermal Imager Sign is designed to provide clear and immediate identification of where this critical equipment is located onboard. A portable infrared thermal imager is used to detect and visualize heat signatures from objects, people, and environments without direct contact. High-visibility and durable, it ensures that the portable infrared thermal imager can be located quickly.
As maritime safety standards for fire localization continue to evolve, especially for vessels carrying containers, properly marking your safety equipment is a proactive step toward enhanced onboard security and crew protection.
Application: Marking the location of the Portable Infrared Thermal Imager.
Regulatory Reference:
As maritime safety standards continue to evolve, this signage aligns with the upcoming requirements for containership fire safety. According to the draft amendments to SOLAS regulation II-2/7:
The amendments relate to localisation and confirmation of fires on ships designed to carry containers on or above the weather deck, including requirements for portable infrared thermal imagers (number, storage, testing and functionality) and reference to relevant international or recognised standards. The requirements are expected to apply to ships constructed on or after 1 January 2032.
